I have not been involved in the past few Thankful Thursday's and I really have missed it! Thanks to Lynn for hosting this week.
"You are my God, and I will give you thanks; you are my God, and I will exalt you. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever." Psalm 118:28-29
I am THANKFUL to God for giving me another day to be thankful! Sound crazy?
"Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 5:1
I am THANKFUL that He keeps sending me a message, He used Lynn and her post to remind me again! I am just looking forward to what He has planned for me!
"For I have plans for you" declares the Lord "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" Jeremiah 29:11
I am THANKFUL that He provides for me.
"And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19
I am THANKFUL for God's Word.
"I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. I have set the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. " Psalm 16:7-8
I am THANKFUL for the opportunity to pray.
"And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests." Ephesians 6:18
I am THANKFUL for the desire to seek God.
"As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God." Psalm 42:1
"May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight. O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer." Psalm 19:14

I call that verse my dentist verse. Here is why. . . God allows us to go through hard times but he has a plan to make us more like Christ.
A dentist may cause us to be uncomfortable, but he has a plan for our teeth to be stronger and better looking.
What a great post! I am glad also that God has given me more years. I could have left this world in 2002. He had a plan.

P.s...don't feel bad! You were right, that's not my mom in the pic. Sharon is my step mom. I'm not sure who you thought my mom was, but Shelby is my mom's name. She and my dad divorced when I was 16 and he remarried when I was 18. Sharon is a real blessing to our family!
