Thankful Thursday

"BUT ENCOURAGE EACH OTHER DAILY, WHILE IT IS STILL CALLED TODAY, SO THAT NONE OF YOU IS HARDENED BY SIN'S DECEPTION." HEBREWS 3:13

As I read Iris's theme for today I knew what I had to write about. MINISTRY. I am so thankful today for the people that have ministered to me. The pastor of Hodge Baptist Church took his church with us on the mission trip and I just can't say enough good things about him and his members. Our church went to theirs to watch their presentation and he acknowledged everyone of us by name. You can look at the smile on his face and see the Lord has really blessed him. He was such a blessing to me. He made sure we all felt welcome! He did not pick and chose. His youth group is on fire for the Lord. My daughter has been in a battle with evil, a girl that just seems to keep her upset. Telling lies and trying to make her life miserable. She text me today to say that she has prayed about this and things looked much better today! She had to have the Lord to help her do this as she can not fight this alone. Last week as evil tried to slip into my life I had to do the same thing, just keep on praying as I could not get through this alone. "First Place" is a great women's ministry for me also. The ladies there are so sincere and after we meet I come away feeling peaceful. Thanks to all my blogging friends for your comments meant so much to me. Really. I loved reading them. I could go on and on but you would be bored!!

Hi Cheryl, Thank God for sending many people to minister to you and encourage you! Truly God loves us and one of the way is by sending others to love us. And thank God for hearing yours and your daughter's prayers. It is comforting that we can cast all our cares on God and He hears and answers our prayers. Thanks for sharing your thankful heart with us. Take care and God bless you always!

Cheryl,

Knowing that you and your daughter can go to God in prayer for the help you need is so important! I hate that things like this happen, but with the world we live in what more can we expect! I hate what our young girls (and boys) have to go through today! I'm so glad that your daughter knows who to turn too!

I totally hate petty girl stuff. I will pray for Anna and the other girl. I know turning the other cheek is hard, but it helps us grow closer to God in the process. Have a blessed weekend!

Thank you for your kindness, Never board of the joy of the strength that is won through battle. Remember the scripture...
Think on these things and the things you have seen and heard and experienced in Him. That is what your doing and that sweet lady is never boring to those who understand it. :)

It seems like we get trials from all directions. Recently, it has come at me with my health. I have had a toothache for fourteen days. Finally, this morning after calling the dentist and him saying to come in, after an hour, the pain went away. Praise the Lord! I called and canceled my appointment. I hope the pain is gone for good.

It's always wonderful to have people who will encourage and inspire us. It's good that your daughter turns to God in her battles against evil... You must have been a great example to her. :-)
